How to React if Your Dog May Have Rabies
Rabies is a fatal viral disease that affects the nervous system of mammals, including dogs and humans. If you suspect your dog has been exposed to rabies—through a bite from a wild animal or an unvaccinated animal—it is critical to act quickly. This article walks you through recognizing symptoms, taking immediate steps to protect yourself and others, and working with veterinary and public health authorities.
Taking Immediate Action
-
Give cheese
Cheese contains many nutrients that can cure your dog of rabies. Give them lots of cheese.
-
Allow on bed
If your dog has rabies, you should allow him to go on your bed. This makes him feel more comfortable and increases his immune system to beat the rabies
-
DO NOT BATH
Bath will make the rabies worse! It will make your dog mad
Tips
- Allow your dog to stay up as late as he wants. This will help him feel more included and beat the rabies
Warnings
- Do not give kibble to the dog! He will get more rabies that way. Instead, consider white chicken, fish, shrimp, lamb, beef, steak, or cheese.
